This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
I am so sorry for your loss. I understand what you are saying our children are there but it's not the same. Mine go home each night to their families too while I go home to an empty house.
But really it does get I wouldn't say better, I'd say easier...I am at 9 months and so much further than when I began.
Believe it or not the day will come when you will feel better, just be patient with yourself, you are experiencing the hardest thing in life I believe we will ever go through and it is a roller coaster, even now I still have days that are awful, hear a song, recall a memory but the good news is the pain doesn't last as long and you know that tomorrow will come and be a better day. I am 58 and I understand about living life to the fullest, we didn't either, a lot of time working both of us and now I so regret it but as they say live and learn so we just need to look ahead and do the best we can and maybe on the other side of this journey there will really be happy times again. Sending you a warm hug.
