I was checking on rates at Golden Nugget Hotel/Casino in Las Vegas and found $49.00 rates for room----Nov. 30- Dec. 4 = 5 nights. Only Dec. 4th is $59.00. Free parking and no resort fees.

Hank Williams, Jr. will be there on the 4, 5, and 6th of Dec. I was thinking about seeing him on Thurs.- the 4th and heading home on 5th before the rates go up for the weekend. Many other great shows to see while there.

Southwest has good prices on flights then also. Let me know what you think about it. I think it would be so much fun!! Becky/Texas

Hope you have a great time. I cannot make myself go to Vegas. My best friend of 30+ years lived there and my husband and I would go to visit. The memories of both of them would just be too much. I have some other friends that I met about 4 years ago that live there and I would love to see them, but just can't bear the memories. I hate the memory triggers.........they are everywhere, and I have to avoid all music at all costs. It tears me up inside! I know.........I'm a real mess!

Oh goodness! I just came back from Las Vegas last week! Some of my old college friends talked me into going. Originally I wasn't too keen on the idea, but I am really glad I went. There is no place quite like Las Vegas! We stayed at The Venetian, which was beautiful. Saw a show, ate good food, toured the Hoover Dam, gambled a bit and enjoyed the silliness and laughter of being with good friends.

I, also, can't bring myself to go to Las Vegas. That is where my husband and I got married - at the Little Chapel of the Bells and went back there for our first wedding anniversary. That place will always be special to me, because of this. Hope you have a great time! Hugs, Norma

We were married in Las Vegas too. 32 years ago. I will never be able to go back there. too many memories.

Oh I would love to go but I just got back from Vegas on Sept 2nd. I also stayed at the Golden Nugget for 2 nights then The Mirage for 2 nights. My husband & I went there every yr since 2001. It brought back memories & I missed him like crazy but it was good.
Maybe next spring, summer or fall?

Sounds like fun but we have like an annual family get together around thanksgiving time. Pretty nice because we may not see each other for the rest of the year but we all meet during this holiday and make it a 3 day event. Sometimes we may plan it for Xmas also. The trip sounds like fun and a good rate on the price.

I would love to go but that's too close to the holidays (financially).
