No. Making the bed is pretty low in the priorities of my daily life.

If a bed is made and no made is around to see it, does it matter if a bed is made or not made?

When I was a little girl, my grandma used to yell at me because I didn’t make my bed as it was a big thing in her book in starting the day! The little rebel that I was stood my ground and wouldn’t do it back then.... didn’t do it in my marriage and still don’t do it now!
(John does though!) lol..
Hey....I feel being unmade...it’s ready for the day what ever that may entail! It can be a hot mess but still a safe place!!!

Depends on my mood that day. Sometimes I just have to be tidy like I was taught and other days not so much lately

I too make my bed every morning. When Jim first died it was just basically pulling the covers back up and placing pillow shammed pillow back on the bed. For the first few weeks after he died I do not think I moved in the bed at all. After sleeping together for 30 plus years it was quite hard to sleep with out him so Xanax was my friend and I did not move all night. We have always slept on the same side of the bed for always. We had purchased a King size bed 2 months before my life changed forever. I do not go to his side of the be much unless changing sheets for I am afraid if I lie down on his side of the bed I will break down and never get up.
I recently had to rotate the mattress and boy was that a workout by myself.

it had duvets, duvet covers, pillows, pillow shams, sham pillows, and a pile of cushions that had to be piled elsewhere if we needed the bed

I seldom make the bed previously. Our lives were so busy. Not long before my husband passed away, he complained that I didn't made the bed, so now I have down sized the bed so I decided to make the bed almost every day as he would have liked.

Yep. My bed gets made with all the foo foo, pillows and my little Teddy bear before I go down for breakfast.

Nope! Only when it is absolutely necessary. I like it a little messy.

I have a 2nd large TV in my bedroom so when my body is hurting I go lay on my bed and try to find something on Netflix. I have a Tempur Pedic which is pure heaven and I go there often! Occasionally I turn on the blanket and crawl in! I remake it completely only when I change the linens. To ME a bed is to be USED, not just admired.

As for SHAMS, the pillows inside my shams ARE NOT THE PILLOWS I SLEEP WITH, so there is no pulling and pushing twice a day! My "bedspread" is a beautiful and colorful QUILT, so I am not hurting anything by using my bed often.
