This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
Yesterday, we spent the day shopping with our kids. His son and my daughter. Then went to my friends house for dinner. He got to see my life and friends. He has deep pockets, which is a struggle for me. Ms. Independent takes care of her own. But, I grit my teeth and let him pay. He doesn't mind and doesn't expect anything in return.
Here comes the exciting part....
This morning, we went to church together. I've been a member there for 9 years. The church welcomed him. I remained true to myself, lifting my hands and praising but also guiding him through the service. At the end of the service, we all join hands and the pastor gives the doxology. He interlaced his fingers with mine. It was so nice holding his hand. Really nice!
Before he arrived he told me that I would have to make a first move, holdings hands, hugging, kissing, etc. I'm very uncomfortable with that. It's awkward. But, it was so nice holding his hand. Different from holding anybody else's hand. Maybe I can rethink this. Maybe I could make a move...
Praying and listening to the Holy Spirit.
As for what's under the jeans, idk, I just like the jeans. :)
Today is more family time. I'm ready for some alone time with him where we can talk. I can figure out my feelings. Do I like him or just his jeans and hands? Lol!

First of all, hopefully this guy does not access this site, it might give him some inside intel, lol.
As far as wanting you to make the first move... I would figure that if a guy flew half way around the world he would want to make the first move. Maybe he just wants to make sure you are comfortable.
