Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.

All is true and I cry for your happiness as well. What a wonderful wife and your children are well-raised. Your wife was very wise and loving to discuss this matter with all of you ahead of time, and I know that it was not easy for her. I am very sad that she is gone so soon.
Please understand that this is a grieving process for all of those who loved your wife, so frowns and words of criticism may come from those caring to share in your hurt and pain. Yet you had discussed these times way ahead of the moment with your beautiful wife. So I beg you to not develop a habit of care for what others say, unless it is encouraging you to listen and useful to comfort your sensitive emotions. Otherwise, you may be slipping away into guilt and shame. Your sweet wife does not want that way for you. Have deeper joy with life and this will please the kind soul of your wife, and it is her last earthly gift to you and your children; and that is so unselfish of her; somewhat of a miracle too.
Best to you,
Remiah
As for myself, I met the man of my dreams 4 months ago. He is also a widower. I had no idea I could be this happy, and I believe that all of us here can find love again.
Take care,
Patti
That being said, three months is quite early into the grieving process. I hope that if you do date, you go into it with your eyes wide open. New widows and widowers are very vulnerable.
Sylvia
Wishing you the best.
