Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
Then there is the dialog box we type in... Two lines visible and then you can't review easily what you have wrote. I am not a typist so my hands can't keep up with my thoughts, so a word might be unfinished or missing three or four sentences back, that change the meaning of what I want to say, and is hard to go back and review since the slide bar to go over your own response is so short and instantly takes you to the top.
The feeling of warmth and inviting is lost, sadly that is a lot of the reason I am here for.I know I am not alone on this, since on other community pages it is what is being said as the experience related feeling. When I came to DS over three years ago after losing John, that warmth and feeling of being understood really did save my life. I was deep in depression and needed to know I wasn't alone, someone understood, someone answered.
It's enough to have DS logo and sharecare logo smaller and off to the side if it allows room for those more inclusive features to be brought back.
Hugs , I am staying because I would not be here if it were not for this place, but I fear that in the exhausting amount of strength drawn from us during the onset of this path, I could not have navigated this site, let alone found all the support, friends and strength I did find, from the old format. Looking at this right now on my computer a full half of the view is covered with my tool bar and the logo and "Friends, Support Groups aand Journals. There is only the two lines that are visible that I type in and then a big Arthritis ad? that takes up the lower third. So effectively the interaction space is 1/6th ( with white margins of separation) of the view-able space. The total writing window is about 3/4 of an inch....3/4 of an inch of interaction space and no visible part of your writing. So if I still had my W/Fog in the brain thick I would not remember who I was writing to or why with out double checking. The send button is bigger than our Avi's.
Hugs to all of you CL's for guiding us through this quagmire.

Thank you again

I take my hat off to you all....I can't imagine how You, curious Fish, Sharon and the rest of them have all been affected.!!
I've said it before, I'll say it again....I am so thankful for the time, you give to support each and every one of us. We know you all have your problems too.....it's not an easy task you all do.
We are all in this together....as long as the big guns are listening and fixing....we will prevail.........as for me, I'm looking at this whole change as another lesson in life, when the going gets tough, the tough should stay.....hugs from Sandra
I'm eighty8 and I'M TALKING TO YOU!
Jesusisoursavior, you did say one thing that I do disagree with..."As long as the big guns are listening and fixing, we will prevail"...it is the "fixing" of the big guns that got us where we are now! I think two things that could "fix" everything immediately are 1). Return the desktop site to the original format before it was "fixed"; 2). An immediate career change for all the "big guns"...to tortilla technician...part time...minimum wage.
Diane - Nicker - glad to see you! I lost half of my friends list with the transition, and I can't even search my friends list to see who is still here or supposedly still here. It IS a mess, and we're all going bonkers with it.
