My husband and I were married 42 years ago in Paris, on Christmas Eve.
Last year I was too raw and too sorrowful to even notice the passing of our anniversary but this year, today, I have decided to celebrate it, quietly, but celebrate it nevertheless because I took then the right decision to marry him and never regretted it. So I will raise my glass to him tonight and I know he will be around somewhere to appreciate it, if only in my heart.
