Driving home today I thought maybe I was finally ready to listen to some music. I usually spend the hour and a half drive from my Mom's house crying, talkihg to Charlie or both. I had a 60's CD in the car.
What I heard was this song from 1965 - the year we fell in love. It was a favorite of ours back then. I remember listening to it in Charlie's 57 Ford parked in front of the dorm. It's by the Seekers

Even if you are not as old as me or don't like 60's music, the lyrics are powerful. They mean such a different thing to me now than they did then. I think there are many songs from our past that speak to us in a new way now - and not just as memories. Julie

Not everyone is as lucky in love as we were, had we not loved so strongly our grief would not be so great.
