Way to go..best of luck with planning a get together..it was really enjoyable meeting everyone on our first round here in So Cal.

I will be at home in SW Missouri for the summer but, depending on the date, I would like to come. It would be really nice to put faces with some of the "cyber" friends. I need to post a picture but will have to wait until I get home and one of the kids can take a picture.

I can get to Chicago. I wonder how many of us live in Illinois or Indiana.

For everyone who's questioned the date and place this is starting out as just an idea - and then for anyone who wants to do this we can together work out a place and date that is good for all of us. I'm a teacher and very busy till the middle of June myself - so I'm thinking of summer. Since a couple are from Ohio and Missouri - perhaps we could even find a motel/hotel for anyone interested. There's some nice places for $70 a night - (even less). There's lots of different things we can do -- so we can just see what sounds best for everyone after we know all who are interested.

I am near Chicago & would like to get together also. Middle of summer sounds good for me. There are some great restaurants in Chicago too.

I'm putting this back up at the top because I know there's still a lot of people in IL and around Chgo. We have one member who will be driving thru St. Louis if anyone needs a ride.

Also - I wanted to say that if anyone is reluctant to come because of money please sign up anyway and I/we will cover anything - without anyone else knowing. There was a time (very recent in fact) when I didn't literally have a dime to my name.

This is something for us to look forward to in bleak times.
