July 1, 1978 I married my Beloved Pat. It has been twenty seven months since he passed away and some days I think I am going to carry on, others, not so sure. To those of you just starting this horrible journey, please take one day at a time, don't make any rash decisions, and don't get rid of any of your beloved's things. Only you will know when the time is right. No one can tell you how you should feel or what you should be doing. We all grieve in our own way. If you need medical help to get you thru the day or to help you sleep at night, do it. It doesn't mean you are weak, it means you are helping yourself. Hugs to all at DS from Canada.

I understand about dealing with Wedding Anniversaries, with your beloved spouse having passed on. I dreaded dealing with our Wedding Anniversary alone. I hope your special days bring forth good, in some way for you!! I will share an experience I had pertaining to Wedding Anniversaries that took me by surprise.
Our Wedding Anniversary day took me by surprise. My beloved wife suddenly an unexpectedly passed on 02/06/12. Then on 03/22/12, it was Our Wedding Anniversary. At the Midnight hour of Our Wedding Anniversary I was heading into our hallway. I was totally unaware of the clock time.
I heard my name whispered from behind me. I then heard I love you, honey. Happy love day I had heard the whispering voice of my beloved wife. This is just how she would always surprise me and not let me see her behind me. I was shocked to say the least.
I thought WHAT? I quickly went to check the time. It was 12:00 A.M. March 22nd, 2012, Our Wedding Anniversary. I did not expect this at all. I had just gotten done with washing my face and eyes for the millionth time. AND not even thinking of March 22nd at all.
When I approached my desk Our Wedding Song was pulled up on my laptop. I was amazed. I just sat down at my desk, opened the cue and clicked Our Wedding Song...I then sang it to my beloved wife, as I cried remembering holding my beloved bride so close and dancing to our song on Our Wedding day, long ago on March 22nd. She was a most strikingly beautiful bride...
