I didn't think today would bother me. We never made a big deal over valentines day. It was never anything about gifts, it was bringing him a cup of coffee the way he liked it, or watching an action movie with him that I didn't care about or him picking up my favorite candy that I would never buy, the everyday things that said 'you're mine'. He would bring me flowers, even though I wasn't a flower type. Now I wish it was a big deal, I really miss those flowers.

Same here. John brought my coffee to me every morning. Though on Valentines day he would go out and get me a rose to start the day....today I made my coffee, went to school. Afterwards I stopped for chocolate and some roses.
I am still up since sleep didn't, wouldn't, come last night. Tomorrow is his birthday...aw well, who needs sleep.

we never made a big deal of Valentines day either so it really hasn't bothered me. I wish now we had, I wish I still could.

Surprisingly, I am did good on Valentine's Day. My husband and I didn't do much on most holidays. We celebrated the major ones only, so the holidays don't effect me as much as the other widows/widowers. But, I do feel for them.

X-mas, anniversary, the day he passed away, effects me more.
