My husband loved his yard. It was his baby. I never liked gardening, but loved indoor plants of which I had many, but due to my age, I have scaled down to six plants of varying heights. I have decide to have the garden done professionally and make it beautiful in honor of him. He spent many hours pampering it and I am excited. Believe me, I have never been before. I know he is gone, but I still want to please him.

What a wonderful idea. He will be smiling down on you as he sees his baby transformed and beautified!

I was given $300 by my husband's co-workers to plant a memorial garden for him. I hope to get that done this summer and want to take my daughter and grandchildren to the nursery to pick out a plant they would like to have to honor him. I am excited to see how it will look!

that is nice....

I went to store the other day again for more plants.. A employee asked me how many Cats I had?????...So I get home, pull up in the drive, and realized I have plants and flowers everywhere I looked. So, thinking back on what the employee asked.. I then realized that usually a widow that has that many flowers also has a house full of cats...I don't have any... but I sure have the flowers....lol

I love the flowers as they bloom but starting over with this yard. My tulips are late(maybe did't like the move" But the stella's are growing, and my bleeding heart survived being moved. I now have an Elephant ear to add, but it will need to be brought in for our winters here. I added some bright reds.

What a lovely way to remember your husband! Sam and I had planned to start a vegetable garden, so I intend to carry out the plan. He had BIG plans for it; however, I will be scaling it back a bit ... a few tomato plants, one squash or cuke, and some green beans. Even that small plan will require plenty of work, so it will keep me busy ... and that's a good thing!

I like this post, but flowers, trees, and clouds, as well as ocean waves are some of my favorite things. Plus my dogs, of course. They give me pleasure and a sense of peace. They also give me balance as they show me life continues in many forms of constant change. Sharon

My Kate also liked to do the gardening... since Kates passing six weeks ago, well I and my son..mostly my son, have kept the garden as Kate would have...its such a nice tribute..
