The warmth of your hugs, your breath on my face. So safe in your arms, lying with my head on your chest. Your smell... Listening to your heartbeat, it was always one, two, skip a few...
The tenderness of your touches, your need to constantly be in physical contact with me, a small touch here, a little kiss there...some part of our bodies touching no matter how far across the bed we were....
The way you would envelope me in your arms the minute I walked in the door, my ribs ached from your tight squeezes, but I loved them always.
You would stroke my hair for hours when we lay watching TV. The way your eyes would fill with tears when we watched a teary movie. The way you cuddled at night, especially when your feet were icy cold and you needed to warm them. The way you would hold me when I needed calming from a really bad day. The way we would sit without a word, comforting each other just by our presence.
When you were scared, and you would lie with your head on my chest and I would stroke your hair and talk to you. The way you look at me when I sang the kids to sleep.
I miss that all so much now, that it takes every power in my being just to keep ...... breathing.

The most powerful force on the planet. Aren't we blessed to have had someone that allowed us to experience it? So strong that even when they are physically gone we can still feel their presence. It's a shame that there are those out there who may never have that pleasure.
