After an upsetting moment I got busy w/my daughter and finished my tiling the bathroom floor - we did the edges with all the measuring and cutting today and we are done....except the very difficult cut around where toilet will go - I am leaving that for friend who is installing toilet back

BUT I DID IT and i think I did a pretty good job -
I put photos of flooring on my photos....

YOU CAN DO IT....I was so unsure....

It is so rewarding to do those things. My Jerry wasnt much of a handyman around the house--now the garage, that was his area of expertise. Anyway, I have done all the home improvement around here including tiling the bathroom and the kitchen. Absolutely the best feeling when it is done and you can look back at it and know that you did it yourself!! Way to go.

What a wonderful thing you did. When my dad died back in the 70s, my mom was only 51 and really believed she needed to remarry to have someone to do "stuff". Being in my 20s and not anxious to have a stepfather(less than 6 months out) I told her that if she could read the instructions she could install the light fixture that was her major "want" at the time. Lo and behold, next time I visited it was done and she was so proud!

You go, girl! We can do it, we are survivors!

I know that Lowe's and probably Home Depot have regularly scheduled Do-It-Yourself classes, free. Everything they sell, they will teach you how to install it. Most everything, anyway. Taking a Saturday morning class might be just the thing to get all of you started on the projects you'd like to do but were afraid to try! You CAN do it! Congrats, Nicker!

We are survivors...
I am most proud that I learned how to crank and use the weedeater..although that thing will kill you. I'm planning to replace bathroom light fixture just a way to make it my bathroom instead of ours..
You did an awesome job Nicker... I admire you for taking on such a big project and the icing on the cake is how great it turned out..
