Yep! The movie Rudolph! Loooove that movie and Ira would always say to me...oh momma...just like Santa does to Mrs Claus in the film. He'd say it all year long and I loved it. Caught me off guard when I watched the movie this year a few weeks back. Oh I could just hear him say it, so darn cute. I hope I never forget the sound of his voice.
So yeah...wham! Right in the gut! Or maybe a heart punch. Either way... It hurt like hell.

Oh yeah, I will be shutting down for Christmas. I told my family not to expect to see me this Christmas and I don't know if that is wise but I cannot bring myself to celebrate anything at this point.
Amy would be listening and singing to Christmas music non-stop about this time and it would drive me crazy, how I wish I could hear her voice again.

Pete you are way smarter than I. I don't feel able to avoid Christmas, having two little grandsons right down the street. I am not putting up a tree. It's ironic because we always bargained about the tree. He would vote "no tree" and I would counter, "tree this year and no tree next." Each year we agreed to have the tree. Now he's not here and I really am not wanting one. Guess he finally got his "no tree." shedding tears

My husband always loved Christmas with decorations and music. I was always a bit of a Scrooge. Now I would give anything to celebrate the season. Of course with him. I'm sorry about everyone's sadness. This season magnifies everything.

I'm with you all. Blue Christmas hit me yesterday when I was driving down to take care of the grands. I did get a tree up. There is not much on it aside from the lights. I'm having a really hard time this year.

Mine is "Here Comes Santa Claus, Elvis". My Dale loved it. Everytime it came on the radio, I would call his cell and leave it on a voice message.

All of them will hurt especially any from Elvis.

my trigger was sitting in the dark with just the christmas tree lit . we loved just sitting by the light of the tree and cuddling, those memories make my heart ache every time i see a christmas tree. i will alone watch my children open there gifts this year. im so scared.

Since sean passed away, I have had two sons, play continuously. I contribute it to seans spirit, letting me know he is with me. So I didn't necessarily feel overwhelmed, kind of a reminder, that he isn't too far away. much love and big hugs, carla
