Just joined today. Today would have been my wifes 56th birthday. Instead we are grieving her passing from March. Cancer took her way too soon. The last year has been awful. She went through radiation and three rounds of chemo. I was also diagnosed in the first part of 2014. I went through chemo, radiation and surgery. I guess I was the lucky one since I survived. I took care of her the last few months and she would have hated that. So strong. We have a blended family though you would never know it. All 6 siblings consider everyone brothers and sisters. Our youngest is 23 and he was actually our only one together. Now I try to spend as much time as possible helping with our 8 grandchildren. This was one of the promises I made to her. Later in June we are all traveling out of state to spread her ashes in her original home town. Another promise I made. A truly amazing woman. Raised 6 children plus a nephew. Then fostered over 100 children. Hard to believe she is gone. Now just horrible sleep patterns, wishing you had company but when you get it you can't wait for them to leave. All the ups and downs I have read here. Like one of my daughters told me, the pain runs deep when the love runs deep. Thank God for children and grandchildren. Sorry for the long intro.
