When my husband passed away I was advised to remove his name from the bank accounts so nobody could pose as him and have access to the accounts.

Three years ago we had filed bankruptcy.

With my new financial situation I decided to use some of his life insurance money to pay off the bankruptcy. Apparently I over paid because I have a check made out to both of us from the court trustee.

The bank won't let me deposit the check because his name is on it.

The trustee can't reissue a new check with only my name on it because the bankruptcy was in both of our names.

I'm so ANGRY and FRUSTRATED I actually shake!

Both camps have a death certificate.

The bank claims its for "my safety" because the trustee's office could revoke the check for lack of proper endorsement and I'd get stuck having to replace the money out of my pocket.

I just don't know what I can do at this point!

Any suggestions would be appreciated. My blood just boils over this ridiculous situation!
