Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
There is no timetable that we have to meet or match. Feel your feelings, go with it. If I need to be alone or in a crowd [that's when my brain just dead stops, I turn into a zombie] do it, be it and live in the moment! I swear when I go to the mall......I'm a zombie-like creature. I walk with no reason, I sit and stare with no reason, I'm just existing. At some point I know I have to get up and start moving or hands and legs go numb!
Allow yourself to just be!
I'm sending you a big, warm hug. I'm so sorry that you had to go through this at this time in your life.
Roz
Roz explained it exactly how it works. Thr triggers of sadness ambush you when you least expect it. They come from nowhere! This truly is a roller coaster ride from hell. Around and around it goes and where it stops no body knows! Time with your best friend makes no matter! Its the depth of the love you felt and the bond you had. As far what other sthink screw them. You are the one having to endure the pain and suffering! Take care of you!
Big hugs to you from big sky country Montana.
Dewey
Royal, I have days where I'm feeling so good, brave and strong and then here it comes my "jello brain", where nothing makes sense, where I can't or won't focus.
You've lost so much dear heart, you need someone to hold and hug you and let you know that you'll be okay.....I promise the rainbow will come back, I promise.
Roz
hugs to you all
Hope you are having a better day. So sorry you have to have your strength tested at such a young. It's tough but trust me when I say you will get through this. Will it be easy? Hell no, but we all know you can move through this trying period in your life. Please lean on us when you need to and you will need to! It's not weakness we humans for the most part are social animals and need interaction in our lives. I hope you have a support system. I'm retired and live with Harley. It's a big lonely house but I'm slowing learning to live alone. I'm a great cook! I cook it and then do not feel like eating it. Put out for the neighbors dog. Cook a lot of beans so I'm sure his dog Sam has a bad butt. I keep him gassed up! Take care of you girl and lean on us, hard if necessary! We are here to aid and assist you! A lot of life experience here on this forum.
Montana hugs to all who read this and to those who don't too!
