Yes, I do still have my husband's ashes. They are kept on a closet shelf. Tomorrow I will hit a 6 mo.mark. A milestone, I guess.

Valentine-shmalentine. I know what I'll do tonight. I will fix me a modest dinner for one, dimmed light, red wine, and I will watch Death Becomes Her and Six Feet Under. Kinda hits home. That's exactly what I need at the moment, tears through laughter, dark humor and a perfect melancholic mood.

I have my guy's ashes too, on a shelf surrounded by all his special car collection. Made it through the dreaded V day with only a few Buh Humbugs thrown at those who dared to speak of the holiday around me. Haha. Enjoy your dark humour and cheers to us for getting through it!

This was my 6 Valentine's day without my hubby and this morning I received one of those text from my brother that included a graphic pic of a bunch of flowers...It got me crying , even after 5 years because while I get that brother is being nice and caring, it just did not make me feel good.

Coldbiker, I love Grace and Frankie! It is so worth watching.
I kept my husband's ashes for one year and finally did as he requested. He wanted to have them spread on our farm. It wasn't easy letting go of them, yet I knew it was what I had to do in order to honor him.
This grief thing needs to come with an instruction manual.
