This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
As for the tears, I'm not a crier either, so I totally get what you are saying about finding the tears coming from no where alarming. When my waves come, I'm equally alarmed and try to find a solution asap. LOL I've learned to let them be without question. I do believe they are healing and cathartic in helping release pent-up emotion. They play a very important role in grief and healing beyond grief.
You are grieving my friend. And that's okay. Let the tears flow when they come, without question. This doesn't make you any weaker, they serve to make you stronger!
Hugs, D
I had a very vivid dream about my mom after she passed many years ago. In my dream she was young, and she looked so pretty and so happy. I begged her to come back, and she said, "oh, no, I don't want to, it's too perfect here".
You're very early in your journey, Kkg. You're allowed to cry and question. It takes some time, so much time.
Hugs,
Janie
"In the bottom of an old pond lived some grubs who could not understand why none of their group ever came back after crawling up the stems of the lilies to the top of the water. They promised each other that the next time one who was called to make the upward climb would return and tell what happened to him. Soon one of them felt an urgent impulse to seek the surface; he rested himself on the top of a lily pad and went through a glorious transformation which made him a dragonfly with beautiful wings. In vain he tried to keep his promise. Flying back and forth over the pond, he peered down at his friends below. Then he realized that even if they could see him they would not recognize such a radiant creature as one of their number."
The story gets it right, maybe they are around, but we do not recognize them.
God bless our wonderful spouses. Let us live the life that they will be proud off.
For all of us left with our young kids, let us be self motivated to move forward for their sake and ours.
any more pain. Larry endured more pain than a person should have to over the years.
But I just miss him so very much & just want to love him.
