Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
I owe all you guys and apology. I posted this on the faith board but not here. I have been taking a break for now. I found that I was using my memory of my wife and our mariage in an unhealthy way. I was imprisoning myself in the grief in place of growing. Using it to make excuses to not move forward. My faith has always been a source of strength and still is. And thru it and the help of a close friend I am getting healthy and stroger each day. I am for ever more grateful for the folks on here who was there at my lowest. It seems so long ago but it wasn't. Lyn will always be in my heart and go with me no matter where I am. But I had always said she wanted me to be happy and live this life to the fullest God intended for me. Well my words had begun to speak louder than my actions. I talked a good game but never took action to move forward. You have to take a leap of faith to see just what your capable of. And I have. God has been there everyday to catch me. And He wants me to live this life He gave me. He gave me a incredible woman but because He is in control it was her time to come home to Him. I always said He would never leave of forsake me and He never has. I still have to continue to heal but He has plans for this life and I am on board with them.
My prayer for each and everyone of you here is that you can find some level of happiness as you heal. I truly know by expereince how hard this can be, but I also know thru expereince how good He can be. Just trust your faith and pray to Him.
If I offended anyone with this post, it wasn't my intentions but you can't as a Christian talk progress in life without giving the credit to God for being there.
I love and respect evryone here on this site looking for strength. I will cetainly continue to pray for each and everyone of you for that strength. I can't find words to thank you all for the support I recieved all this time here. There were some extrememly dark days. I would not wish this on anyone I know.
I just pray that you will take care of you and find peace where you can. I will continue checking in on everyone.
Please be careful and patient with yourselves.
Peace, Tim
