I ruptured my ankle many years ago, and it was fine for awhile, then I re-injured it. I had orthonics and was doing pretty well. I went to the Foot Dr. 3 months ago, and he immediately took my orthonics out, and gave me insoles to wear instead. I got new shoes, and went back last week, to get fitted for new orthonics. The Dr. looked at my ankle, and asked me why it was so much worse in 3 months. I said, I do not know.
He said he was not going to fit me for new orthonics, but rather do a big 3 hour surgery on me. He had me get x-rays that day, and scheduled me for a MRI for 9/9. I walked out of the office in SHOCK. I told my son I was to have surgery, with a long recovery in the next 2 weeks. It STRESSED me so much. I had so much stress, since my husband died, I did not want surgery. Well, last night I woke up in the middle, with a "voice" that said, maybe it is the inserts. Try your old orthonics. I got up this morning, and put in my old orthonics. I could not believe it, but all day, I had it in my shoe, and I walked better. I am cancelling my MRI, and not having my surgery, until I check it out more. Thank you for listening, as I am active in my Church, and really believe God was speaking to me. I felt such a RELIEF, after I convinced myself I do not need surgery, now.
