With much sadness, I am approaching the anniversary date of my husband's death. Tuesday will mark 12 years since my husband left this world, and my life changed. As each year goes by, I find that a day does not pass that I don't think about him. No doubt, I miss him so much! I have had to adapt; my life is so different and not one that I would have chosen for me. What I would give to just have him hold me just one more time. I am sure there are others on here that completely understand how I feel. Although life goes on, I can't wait for the day that I will see my dear John again. Roxanne

For you, it has been twelve years. For me, four years. For us both, it was yesterday. I think of her every day and, like you, would give anything for one last embrace. One of our brethren said it best: "The burden of a widower is to carry his grief and pain until his last breath, and yet have faith and hope that he will see her again." Like you, in my moments of despair I long for the hastening of that day. Have faith. They are awaiting our reunion.

There seems to be no end to the grieving……Am strengthened knowing we will be reunited…..

Nine years for me on 02/11/23. Still trying to move forward but having turned 70 last fall just feel like I will have to live with this.
