Yup, we learned how to do it by ourselves, I know I did; I became best friends with the hardware store, even such basics as "lefty loosey, righty tighty." Would have done a better job on that door frame too had it not been for the wasp nest I disturbed; well, there no more and door frame is done and looks good! I know you can handle your horses and dogs too; believe and you can do it! They will bow before you. (BTW, I am in love with your palomino.) I am SO glad that I can just call a maintenance man now, though I have to admit, I often think "I could so do this myself." Don't have to! at this point in our lives, when it SEEMS that we have not been given the choice of how to proceed, I believe many of us have found great inner strength in getting things accomplished that may have otherwise lain to waste. I have already completed my memorial garden to Mike (and if I could figure out how to get a picture on here I would!), have had the windows replaced, am having new siding put on the house and I am remodeling my bathroom. Granted, alot of the heavy muscle work is being done by others, but I am still "subcontracting" the work myself. One of my husband's best friends is a builder and he is the one doing the actual carpentry work on the house. I believe Mike would be very happy that I am utilizing Kasey to do the work...the job will be done right and I can trust him not to rip me off. Plus I am employing one of Mike's friends.
