I have been on here less and less.  Lord knows I am trying hard to create another good life for myself.  Some of what I am doing is out of necessity. 

For example, I came back from my vacation with a much emptier purse, so I am working on a budget plan.  It may be a little flexible, but when you find yourself broke two days before the next check, you don't want those bouncies from the bank. I closed out an inactive business account the other day.  I am going to really try selling things online; I might have a garage sale this Fall (maybe, maybe not); just be creative.  I am checking into different housing programs as well - in case I am forced to move.  

I have decided to replace some of my dishes and other things in the house as I can afford to do so. I actually put one thing up on the wall.  For those new on here, I moved over a year ago and have not decorated yet. I wasn't motivated to do any more than the lamps and a few what-nots.

I have been doing more cooking.  I canned 4 pints of homemade salsa the other day.  I know that staying busy doesn't solve everything or take away the emptiness and pain, but it helps to make us feel productive.  Living alone comes with the temptation to eat a lot of comfort food, so I go walking around the neighborhood about three times a week.

I am rambling, but the truth of the matter is that we were left here to fend for ourselves, which is why we are called survivors.  Some may never have the desire to remarry, which is okay.  Others will eventually look for new relationships, and that, too, is okay.  For me, it's been almost two years of widowhood, and not even been asked out for coffee.
