I am not sure I should even post this, but I woke up crying this morning. Last week I had the flu, and at the same time my middle son was asking me to help him get an annulment. So I "marriage counseled" the both of them and got their problems temporarily solved. Then yesterday, my oldest son came by and dropped off his load of garbage on my doorstep. All of a sudden he is unhappy living with his girlfriend, and he can't go without *** (she's not leaving her recliner), so he wants to move back in with mommy!?!? I'm like, "What part of no do you not understand?" We have had this discussion hundreds of times! My landlord and lady made it perfectly clear that he could not live here, or they would evict me. YET he doesn't think they really MEAN it. Besides, there's no room for him. One bathroom, barely enough hot water for a bath; I made the guest room into my office. I feel like the little red hen. I worked my can off to move and feather my new little nest, and then here he comes. He tries to appeal to my senses as a mother, how it's winter, etc., etc. Lord have mercy!
I just want to run away. I seriously don't think any of my late husband's family are grieving, except maybe his son. I don't see any signs of it. Their lives go on as normal. The one daughter who said, "Just let him die" is moving to Vegas. Of course his lovely siblings wrote me off some time back. I just have not had any support to speak of, so I think next summer I can pack my little suitcases and walk away from this God-forsaken place and not look back.
I marvel at watching everyone during the holidays. I sort of made a game out of counting the number of holiday outfits certain people buy LOL. One for each of the 12 days of Christmas? Then the parties. I think they have forgotten the reason for the season, and it's all about them. If I could make a wish, it would be to have someone to hold (or hold me) for just a little while - my husband, a grand baby...
Anyway, the day is almost half gone, and I guess I will go to my dinner invite and put on a fake smile. Feliz Navdad!

I also am having a pretty lousy, lonely day/life right now. The only 2 or few people I talk to other than my sister, (one almost everyday) have hung up on me, just in time to be lonely today. These are not isolated/one-of-a-kind incidents so maybe I need new friends. What a challenge...Thanks for sharing your life on here with us. My husband's family doesn't talk to me either. It's sad and nothing I can do but pray.
