I've been pretty down in the dumps over the past couple of weeks. Today marks the three month mark.
On the way to work each morning, after I drop off my little one at daycare, I use that 20 minutes to talk to Michael, cry, etc. Basically, just "get it out of my system" so I can function at work for the next eight hours. Yesterday, during this time, I asked for Michael to send me a sign that he is alright, that he is here with me in some way.
As I mentioned in one of my previous posts, there are certain TV shows that I have not been able to watch since Michael passed simply because they were shows that we both enjoyed watching together. While scrolling through the guide last night, I came across an episode of "Criminal Minds" (one of our favorite). Since the show was almost half over and it was an episode we had both seen before, I decided to watch the last half hour of it.
Well, at the end of the show, as the case is being wrapped up, there is generally a song that is played. I only got to hear this particular song for a few seconds before the show ended. Something inside urged me to look up this song. So, I entered the few lyrics that I did hear and the name of the show into my search engine. The result was for the song "Be Still" by The Fray. I then went to youtube and played the song. It was absolutely beautiful. And, as I was listening with tears streaking my face, I felt this tingling sensation on my left arm. The feeling didn't cover my entire arm, just a few inches, as if someone was putting their hand there. I felt like Michael was speaking those lyrics to me.
While the song did not take away the sadness or emptiness, it did bring me a sense of comfort and peace, if that makes any sense.
You are all in my prayers and I hope that today has found you a bit better off than you were yesterday.

Next month will mark the first year of MaryLou's Spirit Birthday...and often i feel her touching the top of my head or smell her perfume.
As you continue forward, you will increasingly refuse to believe in "coincidence"...they are with us, simple as that!
