This year my grief group that goes out to dinner once a month is having the dinner on Friday, Feb. 15th, the day after Valentine's Day. In order to still celebrate Valentine's Day, I am going to bring some funny kid valentines (like we used to give out at school) and maybe a flower stem for each person. I hope we can laugh at the silly valentines and enjoy our time together. Valentine's Day can be for LOVE in general, not just for sweetheart love. Maybe I'll bring some special cookies from the bakery.

Sounds like a wonderful time to me. I have a difficult time walking past all the V-day stuff, including the cards.

It was a new group that was drawn together by a widow in our church. We only had 6 sessions but decided to continue a social relationship with each other by going out to eat once a month. There are only 8 people. But I like it. Just right.
