Hi everyone. Haven't posted for quite awhile. My heart goes out to you all, both old friends, and those who are new to this most painful experience.
On the eve of the two year anniversary of my wife's passing 11 days ago, I was out mowing. A wave that I know you are all familiar with, no matter how long it has been, hit me, and I went down to one knee. Suddenly, I began to hear in my mind, a song that I had not heard, or thought about for many years. "Somewhere" being sung by one of Sharry's favorite singers; Barbara Streisand. I thought to myself, where did that come from? Later I went to YouTube, and the first video that came up was by Barbara Streisand when I searched the song. I was meant to see it, I know that now, and I play it with my son often before we say our prayers at night. These are little gifts they give from time to time, to comfort us in our sorrow. There really is a place for us, as the song says. A place where we will never be separated again. One day, they really will hold our hands and take us there. My best to you all, as you travel this longest of roads.

That's beautiful....and I do believe that we'll all be reunited with our loved ones...my husband was a musician, and one song he used to sing to me is called 'A Place for You and Me'....one of the lines went 'And there's a place just for you and me...somewhere...in the and of milk and honey'...

Bob nice to see you posting. You are right abt the gifts they give us time to time. In the first year after my wife passed my daughter had a vivid dream of my death. In that dream my last words were "coming sweetheart". I hold that close to my heart each day. Wishing you and Matt only the very best always.
