A kiss at church meant a lot

Since Sunday I have been thinking a lot about a lady that came down the aisle at meet and greet time giving me a hug and kissed my cheek just as I was teary eyed over seeing all the closeness of the couples around me and missing hubby. The kiss was just like ones he had done so many times on my cheek. Wondering if he had something to do with it, regardless it did make me feel better.

Naw, I just think you have a very perceptive, and kind person at your service. Sometimes we humans will do just the right thing, unprompted.

I thought a lot about it, might be she felt my pain, and the kiss so reminded me of how my hubby kissed me so many times, whatever, itr made my day better. How nice of God to arrange that for me.

There is a lady at my Church who always goes out of her way to give me a hug. She was a widow once and has since remarried. She said that she remembers how much those hugs meant. She is right, the human contact is something we miss. Now I need to remember that when I see someone I know is needing a hug.

That is really nice. I remember early on how important those hugs were to me.

I know that kiss meant a lot. People can be so kind.
After church Sunday a lady came rushing down from the choir to speak to me and give me a big hug. She said I know how hard it is to come to church without your husband. About 18 years ago she ran over and killed her 3 year old daughter in their driveway. Our church bought a piano in her memory. Sunday the Mother played the piano for the first time since the accident. She said and the song the soloist sang was one she had on a CD that she played over and over at the time. We hugged again and shared a few tears.

I like to think of people like this as our human angels. Sometimes they show up when we need them most - I remember, it was maybe a month or two after Joe died, I was at work, and a customer gathered me up in her arms. I hugged back, but felt so tight, so unyielding, so much a ball of nerves. She wouldn't let go until I could feel the tension seep out of me. I remember that hug. And I hug the crap out of her everytime I see her now, which isn't often. So...((Hugs!!)), Marsha

That was very thoughtful. Sometimes a hug or just a peck on the cheek gets us through each step. God bless
