These days I can only appease my skin hunger through my children's hugs when they visit.

I too miss the hugs and the hand holding. I guess we take those little things for granted . Nothing is better than a great big hug. Even if you cry then it was needed. I know it is not the same but I will send you a hug.

Rick, I don't post often, but this spoke to me. I too miss the feeling of a well given hug. A hug that conveys so much more then words can express. The strength and comfort of those arms, a feeling that all will be well and you are not alone. It has been almost 5 months now since Mike died and I too miss hugs.

No you are not being soft or wierd. At first when any man gave me a hug, it felt like the entire gender was attempting to console me for the loss of my sweet one.

I think we know from the time we are babies that hugs are consoling and comforting. I think we are hard-wired that way. Sending you cyber hugs...
