That will astonish you, as you feel it unfolding in your heart.
Congratulations.
Grandparents are a very special bond. i love my grandparents both alive and dead so much.
I understand your husband's death of course distracted you from the pregnancy, but now that it is happening and you will be needed as a grandma hopefully you will be able to feel the joy of new life.
Oren is a great name btw.
It's the circle of life. Congratulations on the birth of Oren.
There will be so many things that you will share with him. Make him a memory book with pictures of his Grandfather. Tell him stories. You have the power to keep him alive. Share some of your wonderful memories of him with Oren.
The moments with your grandson will be precious, try to enjoy them. Your emotions will be all over the place, I totally understand and so will your children. The tears you'll be shedding belong to both your husband and your precious Grandchild.
Here's to a new life in yours.

My second daughter has two boys after my husband's passing. They will never know their grandpa in person, but the 2 year old already know his grandpa through pictures. He will kiss grandpa's picture and loves to see the photo album I left at their home. He saw 2 picture of his cousins with grandpa at my home. He recognizes the first picture was his cousin then he said the second picture was himself on grandpa's lap eating ice cream. I smiled when he said it's me and grandpa.
My grandson was born finally, yesterday morning. He is 6 lbs., 3 oz., and 19.6 long and gorgeous from head to toe. Both mom and child are recovering from a rough 26 hour labor and delivery and doing fine.
When Bob died my sons went through his clothes and took what they wanted, minus the things I had set aside for keepsakes. My son made sure to wear one of his fathers favorite shirts for the occasion of his sons birth. I so loved that. It was like Bob was there.
Last night when I was holding the baby, and trying to figure out who he looked like, my son said he saw dad in the baby. I looked and there he was, it brought tears to my eyes.
