Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
I lost my Wife almost three months ago and it's been a very rough ride but the support of people on this site is helpful and comforting, hopefully when you go back to work that will help fill some of the void out of your day. Take care of yourself and again so sorry for the loss of your Husband.
I too don't have a big circle of friends or family and the few of each category I do have we're not really close. I have a 20 year old son but we're not as close as we were ever since I met my DH who he hated. On a good note my DH and I had a beautiful baby boy who just turned 2 years old on the 2nd; he is my rock
I've been to hospice grief support meetings and you are correct. I've only been to two meetings, since I lost my husband two months ago. He didn't benefit from hospice, as he died of a sudden cardiac event. However, hospice in my area has been gracious and have accepted me as a member.
But I will continue to attend these hospice meetings, always looking for a helpful bit of advice from those who have gone before me. I hope there is help for you there soon.
But keep on visiting this site, because it is 24-7 and there are many wise folks who are loving, funny, and will post helpful topics.
Sending hugs...

I'm sorry for you and all of us here for having to be here. But glad you found the group. I am at eight months since my wife went home. I came home from work and found her passed in our bed. It still feels like it was yesterday.
Lyn was the social lite in our marriage because of my being basically shy. She never knew a stranger. She was even on first name basis with our bill collectors. It was only her and I generally. My family has pretty much all passed. Linda's family is up north and don't really communicate. So basically it's me and the Lord. That's O.K. I'll make it as will we all. Please take care of you. And come here often. These are some great folks. I will forever be grateful for finding them.
Peace, Tim
