Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
So sorry for your loss. The time and pain and sadness is just so new right now, you will in time be able to process and handle all the emotions your will go through, just let them happen you must go through them, don't fight it, it will only be worse for you. That is my experience and others here, I never thought I would get through this, but I am with all the support and friendship here, the folks here are so caring and supportive and know what each of us is going through, even though each journey is a bit different there are many similar stories and emotions that are the same, the journey we are on will have many peaks and valleys, compare it to a roller coaster ride would best describe this awful journey. You will one day be able to function, live again but it will take time and it will be one of the hardest fights in yur life to get to that place. I wish you Peace and Love friend.

I cry every day, even when I drive. I can't shake it off but one day it will get better, I hope. Be strong and hugs to you.
I too am very very sorry. I was there too, just wanting to wake up from the awful dream. Back then I thought I was going crazy and I did not want to confide in my daughter (married with a child) nor my sister-in-law because I did not want to worry them. I thought I was alone and going crazy. I only found out about this group a few weeks ago - in December it will be 3 years that my love has died - it has only been a few weeks for me to realize that I was/am not crazy. We are just grieving. All to say, even though you are physically alone in your four walls, know that we are many like you, trying to go on without our soulmate. I send you a virtual hug. You are not alone. Driftersoul.
We are all here for the same reason, we have all lost the love of our life.
The people here are supportive and kind, and we understand what you're going through.
Feel free to cry and vent to us.
It's been 10 weeks since my husband passed, some days I'm okay and some days I'm a sobbing mess.
Just remember to take care of yourself, make sure you eat, drink water, try to get a good night's sleep. If you can't do these things, see your doctor.
We're here for you.
Hugs,
Janie
The only advice would be to join a local grief support group that gives you a motivation to get out of the house and some relief at least for a while
It does seem pointless, and no reason to even be, but this will pass it just takes lots of time to get there.
No, we are not going to wake up from this nightmare but it will get easier as time goes on. Just take one day at a time, get through it and do it again the next day.
We all feel your pain and have our own too.
Hugs and better days,
JoAnn
Yes I feel like I'm losing my mind. This can't be my life. I'm crying as I type this but I know it's okay. You know. :/
