My husband of 30 years died last month. He had fought cancer for almost a year but we thought he had several months left. He wasn't even at the point for Hospice so it was a total shock when I found him that morning. Normally I'm a very strong person but not now. He died on my daddy's birthday, my birthday was 9 days later, Thanksgiving, then his birthday, and now Christmas coming up. Life is pretty crappy now.

I am so very sorry for your loss and I certainly understand the emotions you are going through. I lost my husband from lung cancer and found these people here a great source of comfort and understanding. Just having others who understand from experience is great. Welcome to the group. Sharon

Thanks Sharon. My husband also had lung cancer. I buried him in his favorite tee shirt that said "cancer sucks".

I am so very sorry for your loss, love the T-shirt, perfect. So many dates piling up too. Take your time, mourn, and don't try to be stronger than you can be, just take it one step at a time now, and please come as often as you need to, we really do understand.

I am very sorry your husband passed away. I want you to know, I will be praying for you to have strength, to endure even a minute at a time. go slow, and holidays no matter how closer, are never good after our loves pass on. Big hugs carla

I'm so sorry for your loss. My husband died of liver failure, and he also had cancer, which would have eventually taken him if the cirrhosis hadn't...again, I'm very sorry..

I am so sorry for your loss. I too love the t-shirt idea. My husband was cremated in his beloved Blackhawks Jersey. My husband also died from lung cancer, a very nasty disease. All cancer sucks.

The first days and months are so difficult. Most of us are in a deep protective fog and can only go through the motions. I hope you have support of loved ones around you and know that we are here for you if needed.
Take care of yourself in these early days and prayers and thoughts to you through this difficult time.

So very sorry for your loss. My husband also died from lung cancer. Totally out of left field because he was a hiker, gym person and never smoked. He had been in the marines so possibly exposed, but never sure. It is just a horrible disease. We are all here for you.
