It's been 16 weeks and 3 days since my husband of 38 yrs passed away. I never knew pain like this existed and I don't know how to go on. I know the right things to say and do but I feel like I'm dying. I have always been a strong person but we were married I was 18 and I miss the best husband, father and poppy in the world. I can keep busy but I don't want to. I don't want to do much of anything...why make dinner, clean house or garden he won't be there. Sorry I'm rambling

I find myself going places in the car and not wanting to get out of the car. I come back home and I don't want to get out of the car. I think it's the only time I spend reflecting. Chronic tiredness from Long Covid plus the immunosupressing meds for my Crohn's is slowing me down but everything just seems a massive effort. I am dealing with the paperwork following my father's death but it's not...

Wow, it's the middle of the week already!Today is our 11 year anniversary, so we're going out to a nice dinner. I'm losing a lot of sleep these days, hence a wonky schedule and uncomfortable feelings. But I know it will pass, eventually.I hope all of you have a peaceful day, and may good things come your way!

I learned that the fog that wraps us in a cocoon, was finally pealing away. Reality a light way to bright, it hurt. Take your time and cry those tears that held you up. Share, ven,t ask questions. The CL's have so much info and help. We are here for the same reasons.
I made a routine I follow each day for cleaning the house and so on. I find it helps, otherwise I would do nothing, but everyday there is something to do. I also recently started to exercise, not at a gym, at home, that helps too, helps the mind focus elsewhere.
I also dont clean or cook ever since he left me.. it just makes zero sense. Be strong. Take your time... all the time you need. Focus on the good memories.
Grieving is exhausting. I only found out about this a couple of weeks after my husband died, before that, when he was for a short time in hospital and some time after his death, I was running on adrenalin and I not noticed how tired I really was. Grieving does away with your energy. Just do what you can, be good to yourself and take your time.
I am truly sorry for your loss but I am pleased you found this site. It will help you.
All my best wishes. Viviane
