Hi everyone, well it's been 4 weeks and 3 days since my husband of 38 years and the love of my life passed away. I am finally spending the night in our home much to my daughters displeasure. It amazes me how I managed to be 57 years old without them dictate everything about my life. I am a very independent person since my husband had always traveled most of our lives for work and would be gone 2 to 3 days a week across the country. It is now 9:40 pm and it feels so good to be in our home and it feels like he is right here with me. I miss him so bad but I also know he is in a better place and is no longer in pain. Welcome home, you sound like a very strong person.It took me a year to accept that he was in a better place.

Good for you!!!! it's been 6 weeks for me. I wish I knew he was in a better place! I*t would give me a little peace. And if i knew that someday our hearts/ souls would be united it would help more than words can say.
Hopefully with time and faith and hope I will get there.

Welcome Home !!!

How wonderful that it feels so good !!

I stayed in our home from the first night...coudn't even consider being anywhere else. I miss my husband...but HOME is where he is closest to me and to our adult-kids/young grand-kids. Very special.

Welcome home....Isn't it nice to be home?.....I also wonder when my children turned into the parent, and I the child....whats worse is, the 3 had only 2 parents, and now I have 3...and they all have different opionions..lol

That's definately good news. I am so glad that you stayed with your daughter when you needed her and returned to your home when the time was righg to do that. It's a great example of setting your own path to the future.
God bless your daughter for caring so deeply for you. She is most likely concerned you are okay. She will gain a lesson in watching you grieve and strength in your example. Big hugs to you. Sharon

At the end of dinner my 17 yo son said I was acting like a teenanger b/c I was texting a widow friend. I had to do it then b/c of the time difference. When she returned my text, he text her, "My Mom is driving now & she has to wait till we get home to text you back". Little Mr. Smarty Pants. I never drive & text. Little What is up with that!?!
