Where have these months gone.. I can't believe it.. Sorry I haven't been around much lately was going through a rough patch Doctor gave me something for it and I now can see life a bit clearer... Have made soe life changing decisions.I feel guilty making some of them already but I have to move one I can see that now and I know Ken wouldn't want me not to. I'm selling the house and moving into an apt. The dogs have gone back to my son they were his dogs we have had them here for 3 years he is a long haul trucker and was on the road. He is getting married again and his fiance is expecting a child his first I'm excited for another Grandchild and for my son having his first so they took the girls back. I will get myself a kitten.. I plan to move by Nov. 1st. I have to be out of here before Christmas I just don't think I can be here by myself at Christmas time we have had 28 Christmas's in this house..
I feel a week ago Wed. on the wet deck and have one heck of a looking leg that is so swollen from the knee to foot.. scraped.. so will be safer in an apt.. Kids won't have to come over and do the lawn or shovel snow.. I hate that they have to do all the up keep they have their own homes and families..
I gave Ken's recliner to our Granddaughter.. Had to have it out of here as everytime I look at it I remember the pain Ken was in the last week he was home and sat in it..
I can now speak his name and we have many a good laugh at the silly and funny things he said and did. Miss him so much that hasn't changed but I've already become accustomed to knowing he isn't going to walk in the door or yell *Hey Babe want a coffee* even gotten used sadly to not hearing morning love you or good night I'm going to bed love you and not get the kisses..Didn't think this would happen so soon..
When I move Ken and I will go out the door for the last time together.. I will put him in a recycle grocery bag he was always buying and put his hat in with him that sits on his urn and will carry him out and to our new home..
Miss you Sweet Cheeks hope you are Resting now in Peace and no pain.. love you so much xo

And it will be so much safer being in a the apt. We have our wonderful memories, to keep us connected to our loved ones.
It will be six months this week, here too. What a long lonely crazy journey.....
Never thought I would make it so far, but, we do what we must.

Thanks for posting. I have been thinking about selling my house, too. I kind of hate to do it, but I do not think it is particularly sensible for me to stay here long term. My DH did a lot of work outside, we have a very long driveway, etc. I do not enjoy outside work. Good luck and again, thanks for the post.
It's great that you can remember the good times, and the silly times. Makes remembering that love that much sweeter.
I wish you the BEST of luck in your new apartment, and hope that your leg heals soon! You sound like you have a wonderful, loving family, and that is something to be so proud of...for BOTH of you to have raised such caring people!
