I can only wish you some semblance of peace and let you know we understand. No words, no hope, no prayer can bring our beloved back. I thank God that I found this forum. They've saved my sanity more than they know. I am still desperate but I come here often and hope you will too, Dreamer.
Your mind does know he is gone, but your HEART ?!?!? FAR from it. No, he will never be back in the sence of "Hon I'm home, or "what's for dinner?" But he really isn't gone. He can never be gone. He's inside of you. Inside your heart, and inside your memories. He lives there, and you can pull him out anytime you need him.
I hope your pain lessens a little in the months to come, and all I can say is that we understand, and are HERE for you anytime you need us. HE is there for you too, right inside your heart.
HUG to you, and hopes for some peace in your day today
Diane
I've been in a low spot for several days, but I know the roller coaster will pick me up and hurl me to the top soon so I can begin that dive again. We will never get over what has happened to us, and although we will never see or hear them again in this lifetime, I believe a huge part of them is still with us...after 48 years how could Vern not still be with me.
You have come to a good place and the comfort and understanding here, combined with your counseling and your supportive family, should give you a softer way to look at what has happened. Right now, just go with the flow. I have days when I just weep a little throughout the day, but there are other days when all I do is cry...the ugly cry! I'm counting on the fact that I am better right now than I was a month ago, and hoping that a month from now I will be a smidgen better than I am now.
Until then, I'll keep riding that roller-coaster, as I imagine you are doing, and wishing for his voice, his touch, his presence, but know ing that will never be again. That's why I come here, thanks to my daughter. Here I find solace, comfort, understanding and lots and lots of wisdom from people who are exactly where I am, whether they are a few weeks into this or years ahead of me. Use this place...it's a blessing...and take care of you. (((((dreamer371)))))
Hugs...Marilyn
May God bless you
