10 months here. and theres not a day I dont think about my sean, and wondering if he giving the angels hell in heaven.. lol... if I can say that here, forgive me if i offended anyone. He would help anyone, and he loved us completely... hard to ever come close to experiencing that kind off love.. but we all move forward somehow, and try to make the best of the hand we are dealt.. my love to you all, many blessings, and heartffelt prayers... carla

I don't know how many "baby boomers" are here but my "theme song" has become Do It Or Die by Atlanta Rhythm Section. I have to keep going on. It is so damn hard but Dale would want me to.

just passed the 20 week mark on wed or getting ready to come up on the 5month mark on 29th.

I'll hit 9th month between christmas and new years.
Too many dates approaching close together.. Dec and January.

This morning is the 3 month mark. September 20 and it was a Sunday as well. This seem to be a bad one. My heart goes out to everyone here. Deb

My heart goes out to you! I've been struggling a lot this past week. My husband past away on Nov 14th, 2015. Massive heart attack as we were driving to help a friend out. I did everything I could we were only a few miles from the hospital. I'm riddled with guilt I should have done more I should have gone with him to the doctors and had him checked out more. He'd just been there three days earlier. Last Sunday I was at Christmas dinner with our friends daughter who loved as our own. It was good but cried, Monday was hard since it was the 1st month anniversary of his passing. Tuesday was the first time I'd been to the family home where he'd been born n raised at it was really hard. Also, being their with his sisters and mother. She's holding up well but I felt guilty because I couldn't save her son and I hadn't seen or called her since Thanksgiving at her daughters. Friday I went with friends to see Star Wars it was good but at the same time I felt I shouldn't be having fun. He should be here with us. Thursday will be the first time I'll be with most of his family since his service. I know your pain and all i can say is breath and take it a moment at a time. Let the tears fall and those that truely love you will understand! Hugzz!

I can truly understand what you are going through.

I am fighting the " guilt " battle. My wife had scheduled an appointment with her cardiologist but made the date after a planned visit with her family. Her family lives in another city and they were placing pressure on her to visit for a few days. In hindsight, I should have insisted she move up her exam and delay her visit with her family. I am really beating myself up over it. She visited her family and returned home and was gone less than 72 hours later. I keep blaming myself non-stop. So, I am going through the " should haves / would haves " and it is a major battle in my head.

Debbie, this grief is such a long and arduous journey. I am approaching 11 months and although I am having some better days the pain is always just under the surface and I never know what is going to trigger an episode of grief.
There are friends here who are further into this awful pain and who have given me hope and some guidance on what to expect and it has really helped me.
You are very early into you journey but know we are here with you to I hope somehow give you a little hope and comfort. I also hope soon you will have more good days than bad days.
