I actually went shopping one day last week because i caughy my reflection in a window at work that day..I looked terrible...i thought "i've been strong and doing good most days" and yet..I hadnt noticed what all this grief has been doing too me..I know i've lost weight since it happened...granted, i am not magically slim and trim now...but my clothes were hanging off of me.. I went and bought new ones..The next day at work, people were telling me how nice i looked... i hadnt even realized..It can make you feel better, even though its not a miracle cure..
I got hit with a massive wave of grief this past saturday..its going to come and go..we just have to ride them out.. we are here for you Ruthann, get it all out if you need. *hug*
Your son did a wonderful thing in taking care of his Dad but he, too, must move forward with his life. He can't judge you and how your coping with the enormous loss and must be reminded that you need time to grieve just as he does.
You both need to allow each other the time and space to grieve in your own ways.
I wish you easier days ahead.
