I really wonder where i would be without this outlet. . I stumbled on this site in a drunken haze of desperation not long after 'that day'.
Being a Bushman i don't use my computer much but after 'that day' I suddenly had nothing else to do but wander online.
I thought it would be a passing thing and i would never come back but after two weeks on my own i realized without this community of souls (all in various states of grief and hope) I'm sure i'd be in a much worse place.

seeing people further down the track in the grieving process stop and take the time to reach out to others who may be starting their journey is heartwarming.
I feel like the people here are genuine and transparent . . maybe by losing what we hold dear we can see clearly what really matters.

. . . Amassing wealth (joke) :))

I would also be in a place worse than I am now. This boars has provided me with some hope that I probably would not have found so early on otherwise.

I agree! Not many people that I know want to hear about my grief 4 months after Sam's passing. But everyone here is still willing to listen ... and I appreciate that.

There is a bond here that is not quite the same with other bereavement group. The bereavement support group I went to for 8 weeks and will again go to once another session begins was very helpful and help me understand a lot about my grieving process. It was not specific to people who lost their soul mate and I felt something was missing. Here that missing piece is found. Here I don`t have to wait for another session to begin as their is always someone available.
It has been almost a year and while I have gotten stronger and doing much better now then before, I am experiencing a hard time these days as the 1 year anniversary approaches. Coming here I get the support needed to get through this next phase.

This board has helped me tremendously, too. It makes me feel less alone to know there are others out there going through the same things.

I feel the same way when I first came here I was totally shaken and couldn't think straight. I have been here almost everyday to read the posts and it has helped me a great deal. To hear the stories of others who are and were in the same stateand how they are overcoming and moving forward has given me hope that I would not have gotten anywhere else or from anyone else. So I would like to say THANK YOU to all of you and extend my friendship to you all and prayers to you all for healing and love.
