I sometimes hesitate to post my own topics because I feel like Im whining. I really do hurt a lot and I am just simply exhausted. I went to meet with my lawyer yesterday. I was so worried but after some encouraging words from a fellow DS member I gathered strength (and some from above) and went into this meeting knowing I had to be my husbands voice. Had to be his advocate. Those two things got me through. We spoke of the situation and the things leading up to my husbands death. I felt my self well up with tears but I kept going.
Since my brother in law was the last one to see my husband alive my lawyer needs a statement from him. He will also take a statement from the other co worker and additional people who were there. I caught my brother in law after he got off work to kind of give him a heads up and his response to me was "some of the things that happened at work need to stay under the rug" Oh I am so mad!!! If the tables were turned my husband would bend over backwards to help his family and to make things right in his absence. I don't see why telling the truth is a problem. I'm not asking him to lie. Its amazing how the presence of a lawyer or lawsuit can suddenly turn someone away. Even family. Why can't people see past the smoke and mirrors and do whats right.
