42 years ago today I married the love of my life, my soulmate. I lost her 2 years ago on 9-19-12. I'm doing ok, but today it really is hitting me. Our great grandson was born a year ago today the same day as our anniversary. I think it was a sign, a gift. I know she with God had a hand in his being born this day. I am thankful for the great grandson, as well as the life Donna and I shared, and I'm looking forward to the day we meet again.

How wonderful--you are a great-grandpa already! Those kids make life worth living, don't they? We are on a very similar time frame--our 41st anniversary would have been 9/8 this year and Jake died on 11/4/2012. Quite the life now, isn't it? I am glad to hear that you are doing OK. I am as well. Life isn't "normal" yet but I am functioning for the most part.

Such a beautiful sign of her love, that your great grandson was born on your anniversary. Love is forever. That is why I know that life is also forever. You are so right Jeff, even though we miss them so, and the pain goes so deep, we know they are more alive than we can even comprehend. The pain of separation will give way to the joy of reunion, as God wipes away every tear. I know you will find joy in your family while you are here, knowing she waits to embrace you.
