I wanted to share this with you all. As some of you know I have had a bad week or two, mostly depressed but trying to fight. One of my sisters sent a text message: put on some uplifting music and dance. Well today I listened to Gladys Knight, I Hope You Dance on u tube. {other artist too} Well I danced , more of a praise dance with arms in the air since I am a little rusty. Well guess what, I ENJOYED IT. I worked outside for a while afterwards, maybe 2hrs. I called another of my sisters and we discussed starting a Red Hat Group with some friends with an upbeat positive agenda . I called the fiends and they agreed. Next , I invited my mother and another sister to lunch. Here is where the problem began. We were eating, laughing , enjoying the food and it seemed liked my throat closed. I was half finished, not full, but I could not finish the food. I got a carryout and pretended to enjoy the rest of the outing. I was calm , relaxed and just ready to step off the roller coaster, and wham it took off again. I am unable to identify the trigger that caused this, but I am so grateful for the few hours of feeling normal. And I am forever grateful for this site and this group of caring people. Thank you for listening. I have not been able to pick myself up this evening, tomorrow I will try to dance again. Oh, my daughter found this song too sad to listen to.
The songs message for me was to live life fully and not sit on the sidelines why life passes by. Love and Peace to ALL

Juanita and I had a favorite fun song we would play when the grandkids visited, and we would both dance, and twirl and praise with them. It was so much fun. I haven't done that with them (nor listened to that song) since she died. Thanks for the reminder - I need to start doing that again. I never was much of a dancer, so I have not self-consciousness dancing with the little ones (or by myself). God bless you ~ Scott
I am about 6 weeks ahead of you on this rough, horrible road. My husband also passed suddenly. I also have had some hard days this week. But I had some really good days last week. I'll be thinking of you and hope we both have a better day tomorrow.
Warm thoughts,
Linda
