I want to wish all of you a Happy Mother's Day.
It is another FIRST for some of us. My husband would be picking out my card and excited about the gift he would give me. He would always wait until I fall asleep and put it on the dresser, so that when I wake up, it would be the first thing I see. So, I have cards from him that I will place on the dresser. My daughters are taking me out on Saturday and we'll be in church on Sunday. I got them gift certificates for a pedicure. I am grateful that I have them to support me, as they are experiencing their own grief journey. Praying for all of us.

I would like to take this a step farther by wishing all the dads here that are raising children on their own a wonderful day as well. They have to step up and assume the role of both parents and deserve to be recognized. My own dad has been all I have had since I was 6 and I think he did a great job of doing it all.
