Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
Now is the time to be gentle with yourself. I know it is hard, but you really need to take care of you. This is a tough journey so take it slow...sometimes minute by minute. Cry, scream, let your pain out. Journaling has helped me so much. Come here often and vent.
Sending you gentle hugs and lots of prayers.
Blessings,
Sharon
God Bless You, and keep you well during this most difficult time .
My prayers are with you as well as all who come to DS for support and understanding.
I also lost my husband Feb 28th. I'm having a terrible time as well. He was young only 39 with cancer. I have a teenager to raise now. I'm not sure how to cope either. I'm sick of the advice from people. Like time will heal or everyday is a little better. Oh the best one is your so strong I dont know how you do it. Really?? Well I don't either. . I feel like I want to freak out and lose my mind. I guess they better hope there not around when that happens. Just know I'm here. I'm by my computer for any help you need. If you like me most of the day is spent crying and feeling completely lost. I think the best thing I heard was you feel like a lost puppy dog. Email me anytime. We can talk or vent together.

For now, your job/calling is to listen to your heart by grieving out your pain -
In time, you will find a purpose but not till the active grieving has ended -
Even though you feel like you're alone, you're not, people are always here to help, to listen, to share -
Rest your weary head & heart as often as possible -
I hope you have a peaceful night
Cathy
The only group I found was here, and everyone has been so helpful, without them, I don't think I would have made it through the last 2 months. I felt so alone in my grief, but they have been here for me, and for you.
The world seems to go on, and noone wants to hear what we are going through, But, no matter how weird you think the problem is, we will solve it together.
May God be with you, as you travel this road with us.
