I am encouraged when you say "we are married 30 years". I'd be willing to bet you still feel very married. It's hard to say celebrate the day, but it is a momentous occasion.

My Charlie passed April 9, 2012. I "celebrated" our 46th anniversary in August. I tried to make it a special day just for us.

It is very early for you, but I think later you will be glad to remember that this day - like all the 29 anniversaries before - was made special by you.

Of course there will be lots of tears, but I hope you find a little peace, too. Julie

Our anniversary is coming up in 2 1/2 months ... the 1st anniversary since my husband died. It is a date I look forward to with much trepidation. I know that I will be sad but I like to think I will also be able to remember what a blessed day it was 32 years ago that we committed ourselves one to the other. I hope I can look back, remembering our great love, and be grateful for the wonderful memories that can never be stolen from me.
