July 3`st marked 3 years.

It seems so long ago yet just yesterday. We wanted to go spread flowers where his ashes were spread but work had me working so late and we left for a short vacation today. I think he understands - and we plan on doing so soon.

I so needed this short break....working at local camp grounds and hours are weird but short hours...wished I could do hrs like they promised but every little bit helps

I recently got accepted by local school district to work as substitute paraeducator...
These are all helpful financially now.

I know several widows/widowers had to return to work due to one income...BUT I sure wished I was able to truly retire

Hi, Nicker! It's good to hear from you! You are definitely a survivor with much courage and strength. I remember all you have been through in forging your way in this new life. You remain one of my heroes! You helped me so much along my way! Thanks! My thoughts are with you on this 3rd anniversary date.

I was thinking about and was hoping to hear from you - that wifi thing is such a pain! I am glad you are getting a break, and yes I am sure he understands that you will get back to that spot. I don't think time has the same constraints for them as it does for us. :) And I hope the new role with the school district works out well. I know it's been a long and complicated road for you.

I would love to do such a thing, touch nature more. As a child I went, the feeling of surreal freedom. Take the chances where you can to touch nature it is so grounding. Enjoy the reprieves where you find them.
It ( summer camp) may have started my project therapy I do so often.

Hello my friend, it's good to hear you have financial prospects. Being retired is great, but comes with it's challenges too. I have to force myself to stay active and productive. Your time will come when retirement is right for you. Sometimes I miss the interaction with my co-workers, but not enough to go back to the ER!! Sharon

Hugs, Nicker - for your anniversary and for what's going on in your life. I bitch to myself about my hours, but I also know I don't want to retire yet. Not that I have a choice! I'm glad for you - for the PT work. And it's good, always, to hear from you - Marsha
