Am sitting on the phone with our Health Insurance Company trying to get Ray removed from the policy. I have called every month, they tell me they aren't sure how to take care of the issue. DAH...He died remove him from my policy so I don't have to keep paying his premium..

It is so sad. Regarding the insurance, I would call the state insurance commissioner to report this company. They must remove him and must rebate your extra premiums back to you from the first date you tried to report it.

I got rid of our 2014 calendar quickly and bought a 2015 when I first saw one, thinking to remove all bad luck in 2014 when my mom and wife got very sick, and wishing the new calendar would bring us luck. Well, my wife passed in January, and I got a whole year to grieve. This time I would be patient and let God take care of the rest. Hugs. Tiger

My husband missed an apt with his urologist . Then kept sending letters to reschedule the apt. I called them and told them he was deceased now. It has been 26 months. Another dr (family) wrote me a letter and said he would no longer be our family dr.

Lisastp..It's Obama care...don't think the goverment cares if you report them..LOL, they are just slow and they told me they doubt I'll get my the 3 months back that I paid in. But they sure tell me to keep paying the whole premium until they get his name
taken off......

This is just absurd!!! A death certificate and a letter asking for his name to be removed, should do it. What do you mean you arent getting your money back?! Keep calling until you get someone with brains to pick up the phone and help you. This people give you mix information depending on who you talk to!

ramar......do you have an attorney? Is there an office near you for the insurance company? They have to take his name off when a DC is presented. I would call the SCC in your area.

Send the insurance comnpany a letter by certified mail, return receipt requested, and enclose a copy of the death certificate. In your cover letter with the death certificate, make sure you reference the policy number, the date of his death, and the date and time you reported his death and if you know who you talked to - even if it's just a first name - put it in the letter, too. Say that you have been requesting your premiums back and this be handled promptly. And then at the bottom of the letter, put a "cc" copy to the Insurance Commissioner. You can also add a "cc" to your Congressman or your local news station. Those tend to get somebody to pay attention. Just a suggestion.....

I am sorry you have had the reminder and then the insurance company added insult to injury. Sending you big hugs.....

I just got a notice for my husband for jury duty. Although I previously sent a death certificate about 2 yrs ago so I called. The lady was very rude and started by saying he is the one who should call as to why he could not come. SO being the smart a^%$ I asked how do ashes come alive? Gave her the gps address for where the ashes were laid.
OH well...

Do not give up Martha had some good advice, contact your representative, congressman etc that's what they are there for...Good luck and sorry this has to happen.
